This Terms of Service agreement governs the use of the APRS SMS Gateway service provided by APRS.wiki. By using the APRS SMS Gateway, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions.

Limitations of Use

The Service is intended for general communication purposes only. It should not be used as a primary communication tool for emergency situations or where the transmission or reception of messages could result in harm or injury.

No Reliance for Emergencies

The Service is not designed or intended to be relied upon for life or death emergencies or critical communications. You acknowledge that the Service may experience disruptions, delays, or other issues that could impact message delivery and receipt.

Limitation of Liability

APRS.wiki (SMS Gateway) expressly disclaims any liability for the failure of the Service to deliver messages, particularly in emergency situations. You acknowledge and agree that the Service is not intended or suitable for use in situations where delay, inaccuracy, or lost message delivery could result in injury, death, or significant harm.

You assume all risks associated with the use of the Service for any critical or emergency communications and agree to hold the Provider harmless from any claims related to such use.

Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

  • Use the APRS SMS Gateway for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
  • Transmit any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Violate any laws, regulations, or third-party rights.
  • Use any automated means, including bots (without permission), to access or interact with the service.
  • Hate speech, harassment, exploitative, abusive, or any communications that originate from a hate group.
  • Fraudulent messages.
  • Drug sales or content of any kind.
  • Firearm sales of any kind.
  • Malicious content, such as malware or viruses.
  • Any content that is designed to intentionally evade filters.

Changes to Terms

APRS.wiki reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the APRS SMS Gateway after any such changes shall constitute your consent to such changes.
